Environmental Policy

FMS Projects Ltd is aware of the possible impact which the organisation undertaking could have on the environment. The organisation is committed to minimising any effects on the environment and ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the company’s personnel and of other persons who may be affected. The organisation will, implement suitable and sufficient safe systems of work to meet the requirements of current relevant environmental legislation in respect of the storage, transportation and handling of chemicals, substances and waste materials used by the company in the course of its organisation.

The Policy is to purchase chemicals and substances from reputable suppliers; transport, store, use and dispose of these chemicals and substances in such a way as to minimise, or where reasonably practicable, eliminate the effect on the environment. The organisation will arrange for the disposal of all waste products regularly, safely and in accordance with statutory requirements.

The arrangements for the use of chemicals, substances and waste will be regularly reviewed. Recycling initiatives will be taken where reasonably practicable in order to help protect the environment and make better use of resources.

The main objective is to maximise the environmental efficiency of the premises and work practices, reducing pollution.

Health & Safety

In accordance with section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 the organisation is committed to ensuring high standards of safety, health and welfare occur within its workplace and to improving performance, continual improvement and compliance with relevant legislation.

The organisation acknowledges that the core component to successful health and safety management is the implementation of an effective occupational health and safety management system which reflects the commitment of management and the cooperation of all employees.

It is the policy of the organisation to perform all work activities in a safe manner consistent with good practice and in compliance with applicable legislation and standards.

The organisation will ensure appropriate provisions and resources are available to help ensure this policy is implemented throughout the work environment.
